Special Delivery is queer indie all-girl porn, something we're seeing more and more of in recent years, and it's a welcome change from the usual mainstream approach to such material. Cute, butch Deb Shooter works in a feminist sex toy shop, spending a long afternoon boxing up dildos and vibrators and harnesses to send to customers, and eventually exposure to so many implements of carnal delight gets her mind moving in sexy directions. Soon she takes a little masturbation break, settling down in a chair and unbuttoning her jeans and thinking about where those boxes of toys might go, and what people might do with them.

Cue her fantasies, which involve a pair of real lesbian couples, each couple getting two scenes each. Eva and Anja are adorable, clearly in love and lust and like with each other, and they have a fine romp on their couch and later their bed. Their chemistry is palpable, and they seem utterly unaware of the camera. It's like a glimpse into a real sex scene — but with better blocking — which is one of the greatest illusions porn can provide. They're also both incredibly cute, which doesn't hurt. The other couple, Benito and Flora, seem less comfortable on screen, and there's a stiffness and awkwardness to their actions; it's pretty clearly their first time having sex on camera, and they never quite manage to loosen up and go with it (and don't seem to have the experience to fake casualness convincingly). Deb Shooter's masturbation scene, which appears in snippets throughout and then concludes the movie, is nice, and she seems pretty uninhibited about it, though since she's in a building literally filled with sex toys, and was ostensibly aroused by the presence of said sex toys, it would have been nice to see her use a few more of them. Overall it's a natural, charming film with a nice indie sensibility.
